Lord (George) Robertson is Adviser to BP plc and Vice Chair of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. He also Chairs the FIA Foundation and Western Ferries (Clyde) Ltd and he is a Senior Counsellor with The Cohen Group (Washington DC).

He was the 10th Secretary General of NATO and Chairman of the North Atlantic Council from 1999 to 2003 and UK Secretary of State for Defence from 1997-1999. He was Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland in the Shadow Cabinet from 1992-1997 and Principal Opposition Spokesman on Europe from 1983-92. He was Member of Parliament for Hamilton and then Hamilton South from 1978 -99 and joined the House of Lords in 1999. He became a member of Her Majesty’s Privy Council in 1997.

The Lord Clement-Jones CBE

Lord Clement-Jones was made CBE for political services in 1988 and life peer in 1998. Until July 2004 he was the Liberal Democrat Health Spokesperson and thereafter until 2010 Liberal Democrat Spokesperson on Culture, Media and Sport, in the House of Lords.

He is the current Liberal Democrat House of Lords Spokesperson for Digital and a former spokesperson on the Creative Industries (2015-17). He is the former Chair of the House of Lords Select Committee on Artificial Intelligence which sat from 2017-18 and Co-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on AI. He is a founding member of the OECD Parliamentary Group on AI and former consultant of the Council of Europe’s Ad-hoc Committee on AI (CAHAI). He is a former member of the House of Lords Select Committees on Communications (2011-15), the Built Environment (2015-16), and Risk Assessment and Planning (2020-21).

Tim is Chair of Council of Queen Mary University of London ("QMUL"). He was Chair of the Advisory Council of the former Institute for Ethical AI in Education ("IEAIED"), led by Sir Anthony Seldon which published its final report in March 2021.
