Will Courtenay is a Managing Director at HSBC and is the Global Head of Digital Legal, working with business leaders in the bank to help drive the bank’s growth and transformation agenda across all things digital.

Before HSBC, Will was the head of technology, IP and data legal for Morgan Stanley EMEA and APAC and prior to that worked at London Stock Exchange Group. Will has lived and worked in UK, Singapore and Hong Kong.

When he is not thinking about mobile journeys, digital assets and gen AI, Will can be found hiking in the mountains of Hong Kong.

Sean is the Senior Advisor and APAC Policy Lead for the Crypto Council for Innovation (https://cryptoforinnovation.org), a global alliance of industry leaders with a mission in regulatory advocacy and to demonstrate the transformational promise of digital assets and Web3. He has engaged with dozens of global regulators and policymakers to provide insights on industry feedback and policy recommendations.

Previously Sean was the CEO of the Algorand Foundation, an MIT incubated layer-1 blockchain protocol and reached top-10 by network valuation during his tenure. Before entering into crypto and blockchain, Sean spent 10 years and held leadership positions in cloud computing and open-source software companies, working closely with leading financial services institutions on Wall Street and in Asia.
